Best attendance (190 days each year) is expected from all pupils to ensure that they benefit from the education being offered. The school monitors pupil attendance and has an annual attendance target of 97% . The parents of pupils whose attendance is at risk of falling or falls below the statutory threshold of 90% (after which school-age children are regarded as persistent absentees) will be contacted by the school to discuss their child’s attendance and strategies to improve it.

Holidays are not permitted in term time and term dates are published in advance of each acadmic year to support families in their planning.

Each term, every child with excellent attendance (98% and above) receives a certificate in recognition of their achievement. In order to keep you informed of your child’s attendance, an overview of their attendance and punctuality will be sent to you at the end of each term.
