Relationships and Sex Education Consultation

Since September 2020, Relationships & Health Education (RHE) has been statutory in all primary schools in England. As a Catholic school, our mission is to support the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of all of our pupils, rooted in the wisdom and teaching of the Church. The school’s RHE curriculum is taught through the Ten Ten programme ‘Life to the Full Plus‘.

The school is currently undertaking a Parent/Carer Consultation on how it can make sure that its Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) Policy and Relationships & Health Education (RHE) curriculum meets the statutory requirements, as well as the needs of our pupils. This consultation is taking place between Wednesday 27th March and Wednesday 8th May 2024 (6-week period).

As part of the consultation process, we are revisiting decisions relating to the non-statutory content, some of which relates to Relationships and Sex Education (RSE). Parents/Carers of the school are asked to read and consider the school’s Relationships & Sex Education Policy and undertake the Ten Ten Parent Consultation Course before completing the RSE Consultation Questionnaire. Details on how to access this information was emailed to families of the school on 27th March 2024.

Completed consultation questionnaires should be submitted to the school by Wednesday 8th May 2024.
