The Mission Statement is the foundation upon which the school shares its responsibilities as a Catholic community towards others on a local, national and global level. The school provides a wealth of meaningful opportunities for pupils to reflect on their responsibilities and offers opportunities for them to take action.
Harvest Festival
Each Autumn, as part of our Harvest Festival celebrations, we gather together to give praise to God for the gifts and fruits of the earth. We think about those who work and care for the land and celebrate the produce grown, giving thanks for all the good things given to us by God. We reflect on what we have and think about those who are less fortunate in our local area and all around the word.
As a school community we collect and donate non-perishable food items to our local Food Bank in Hammersmith and Fulham to support people in need who live in our local community.
The Food Bank gives three days of emergency food to individuals and families in crisis, and at the Food Bank’s cafe, they also receive a hot drink, a homemade snack, a listening ear and signposting to various organisations.
The School Council plan and lead this initiative each year.

The Passage
Our annual ‘Wear a Christmas Jumper to School Day’ is an initiative to raise money to support The Passage, a charity for the homeless based in central London. A representative visits the school each year and leads an assembly on the theme of homelessness.

Catholic Children’s Society (CCS)
During Lent, the school community raises funds to support the Catholic Children’s Society’s Lenten Appeal. The children often link their fundraising efforts to their Lenten promises and pledges, putting their faith into action and growing closer to God. Each year, the Year 3 children participate in The Good Shepherd Mass at Westminster Cathedral where they present the school’s donation. In order to boost this year’s fundraising efforts the school supported the first CCS Day whereby children came to school dressed as their favourite book character to raise money.

CAFOD
The school’s annual International Day is a fundraising initiative to support the work of CAFOD. This is an event held early in the academic year that provides an opportunity for the school to celebrate cultural diversity and welcome new families to the school community.

Child Initiated Fundraising
Pupils are actively encouraged to initiate their own fundraising projects in response to local and global issues.

Nazareth House
Larmenier & Sacred Heart has special bond with Nazareth House, Hammersmith. Victoire Larmenier (the order’s founder) and the Sisters of Nazereth play a huge part in our school’s history.
