Shelter Building

As a team, we worked together to create a sturdy, waterproof shelter.

It was a really hard choice between the six wonderful creations but ours was the winning shelter!

We had loads of fun even though it was muddy which created a challenge for the class.

Double the Game, Double the Smiles!

We are having a great time and have some free time to play board games and read while some of my classmates are writing some letters to YOU parents and carers!

Here’s an example:

Day 2!

We woke up but it was very dark still so some of us started reading or talking.

Breakfast was really good, we had pancakes, bacon, eggs and toast (the egg was hard boiled).

After that we did shelter building. Our hands got very dirty, it it was really nice to see the woods that surrounded us.

We did the blindfold challenge after. We were out in pairs and one of us was blindfolded by the teacher. Our partners had to guide us through without touching us.

Our lunch was pizza with potatoes and corn.

After that we were split into two groups and one group had to go to caving and the other group had to go to the ropes course.

The caving was really fun technically it was just like a memory game. We were told the instructions to go through the cave and we had to remember.

The ropes course was surprisingly hard even though it was really fun. The zip wire was my favourite.

Then we had more free time!

In the Tunnel

Today we got to down a cave made of plastic, I had to slip through tight spaces and at the end we got to see what the cave looks like on the outside.

We also did a challenge were we were in pairs and one of us was blindfolded and the other was leading their partner to the finish line by talking to them (of course we got to swap)!

Rope Course

The rope course was amazing! I especially loved the zip wire. It was so great I wanted to go a third time but we couldn’t because we ran out of time!

At first we were split into two groups and our first activity was caving. But our second activity was the ropes course.

The course contained balance areas, a climbing wall and a zip wire.

Learning Archery!

We have been doing some archery, and we all really enjoyed it, and thought it was super fun. It included a holiday game, where depending on the colour you hit, you look on the sheet and it will tell you where you go, how long for and how you get there! You get three goes each time. And I must say, Mr. O’Connor was extremely good in particular (he hit the second smallest circle, still in the yellow, but there was a smaller one within it, so close!)

Everyone was really good, and stayed positive, even if they kept on missing the board. The teachers explained it well, and made it easy for us to follow!

What a Rainy Start!

This morning we woke up and went down for breakfast. The breakfast was really good  and I enjoyed it. We returned and it was starting to rain so we had to walk quickly as possible to our cabin. After a while it started to rain really heavily, but that won’t stop the fun! A-L
