Partial School Closure - from 23rd March 2020 until Further Notice

From Monday 23rd March 2020, the school will be closed to most pupils and will be open only for the children of key workers (NHS workers, Police, emergency services, delivery drivers etc) and other identified groups of children, as defined by the Government.

Parents/Carers falling within the category of ‘key worker’ have been asked to contact the school and to provide simple evidence to confirm that they are critical in supporting their profession’s business continuity at this time. The school is contacting other families directly if their child qualifies for a place in school.
It is fully recognised that the fewer children making the journey to school, and the fewer children in educational settings, the lower the risk that the virus can spread and infect vulnerable individuals in wider society. Therefore, if it is at all possible for children to be at home, then they should be.
During this period, the following arrangements have been made in school:
  • The school gates will open at 8.45 a.m. and children should arrive in school by    8.55 a.m.
  • The school day will end at 3.10 p.m. (Nursery - Year 2) and 3.20 p.m. (Years 3-6).
  • Children will not be required to wear school uniform, instead they should wear warm, comfortable clothing (a tracksuit and trainers are ideal).
  • A freshly cooked, hot meal will be provided at lunch time.
  • Families eligible for free school meals may request a cooked lunch for qualifying children. Requests should be made via the school office.
The school is working to provide educational continuity with the aim of supporting parents/carers in the education of their child. This is being achieved through the provision of Home Learning activities, these consist of online platforms (e.g. Mathletics, Education City, Reading Eggs), Google Classroom (teachers will set daily tasks for their classes) and a physical resource pack.

If you have any difficulties accessing your child's online accounts, please email
All other enquires should be directed to the school office, between 9.00 a.m. and 11.00 a.m. (Monday – Friday, term time only):
